New Delhi, June 27: The Centre has made online health self declaration mandatory for all international travellers arriving in India and launched Air Suvidha 2.0 to strengthen health screening amid concerns over the Ebola outbreak.
Under the new system, passengers must submit their Health Self Declaration online up to 24 hours before boarding their flight to India. Authorities said travellers must provide details of their travel history and health symptoms covering the previous 21 days.
Officials said the upgraded Air Suvidha 2.0 portal was introduced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in coordination with health authorities to improve public health surveillance at airports and speed up immigration clearance.

Passengers arriving from abroad have been advised to complete registration only through the official Air Suvidha portal before departure.
Authorities said airlines have been directed to alert passengers in advance during check in and onboard announcements. Travellers must carry the downloaded Health Self Declaration and present it at immigration or health screening counters on arrival.
The move comes as India increases monitoring following the spread of Ebola and Bundibugyo virus disease in parts of Africa.
Officials said the digital system is expected to reduce processing delays and support early identification of travellers who may require additional screening.
