All set for Band’s III phase padayatra from today
Hyderabad, Aug.1 (Maxim News): The stage is set for the launch of the third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra by State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, starting from the temple town of Yadadri on Tuesday.
Union Jal Sakthi Minister Gajendra Shekhawat will flag off the padayatra after addressing a public meeting in the afternoon.
Union tourism minister G Kishan Reddy will also join Sanjay at Yadadri and take part in the public meeting. Sanjay, who leaves the BJP State office at Nampally for Yadadri at 7 am, will be accorded welcome by the party rank and file at the temple town. After performing special prayers at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri at 10 am, Sanjay will address a public meeting at 11 am.
On the first day, the State BJP president will walk for 10.5 km and have a night halt at Baswapur. It will cover Yadadri Bhongir, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Warangal and Hanamkonda districts, encompassing 25 mandals and Assembly constituencies of Alair, Bhongir, Munugode, Nakrekal, Tungaturthi, Palakurthi, Station Ghanpur, Jangaon, Wardhannapet, Parkal, Warangal East and Warangal West.
In all, he will walk for 328 km covering 12 Assembly constituencies in five districts in a span of 24 days. On an average, he will cover one assembly constituency in two days.
The third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra – from Yadadri to Bhadrakali – will pass through several historic places like Pochampalli, Gundrampalli, Visunuru, Khila Shahpur, Kothapet and Ainole, having the background of Telangana armed struggle and separate Telangana movement.
Sanjay will also touch several tribal hamlets and areas dominated by weaker sections. The padayatra, which completed two phases, is aimed at directly interacting with the people, understand their plight in the last eight years, explain to them the welfare schemes introduced by the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and instil confidence in them.
