Allam Narayana asks officials to complete media academy building works

Hyderabad, Aug.16 (Maxim News): Telangana State Press Academy chairman Allam Narayana today asked the officials of the Roads & Buildings (R&B) department to complete the ongoing construction works of the new building of the academy before the Dasara festival.

Narayana told the officials that they would inaugurate the building from the hands of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao after its completion. He reminded that the CM, who visited the old building of the academy in 2015, sanctioned Rs 15 crore for the construction of the new building. He said he had explained about the progress of the construction works of the building to the CM during his recent meeting.

He said the Chief Minister had agreed to his proposal to inaugurate the building on Dasara festival day along with the inauguration of State secretariat and martyrs memorial.

During a review meeting with the officials of the R&B department, the officials told Narayana that the works were slowed due to the spread of corona pandemic in the State and added that they had now intensified the works of the building. The officials promised to hand over the buildings by completing all the pending works by the end of September. The new building of the academy will have an auditorium, two classrooms and a library. Allam Narayana said they would launch a certificate course for the rural area and desk journalists. (Maxim News)
