Amit Shah to address public meeting in Munugode on August 21

Hyderabad, August 13: Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has made it clear that Union Minister Amit Shah will address a public meeting at Munugode on August 21. Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who tendered resignation to Munugode MLA seat, will join the BJP in Amit Shah’s presence in the same meeting, he added.

As by-election notification for Munugode is expected at any time, the BJP is focusing on admitting the disgruntled leaders of the TRS in the constituency. There are seven mandals and two municipalities in the Munugode segment. They are Choutuppal, Narayanapur, Gattuppal, Marriguda, Chandur, Nampally, and Munugode while Choutuppal and Chandur are municipalities.

The BJP formed a special committee with state top leaders to ensure the BJP cadre in the constituency strives for the victory of their candidate. Meanwhile, Congress is planning to hold rachhabanda in every village from August 16 seeking support for the party to win the by-election. The CPI which has considerable votes in the Munugode constituency is yet to make an announcement on fielding its candidate.
