Hyderabad, Aug 20 (Maxim News) : The India Meteorological Department has forecast rain across several parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the next three days. A monsoon trough and a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal are driving the weather pattern.
The weather system is likely to bring light to moderate rain in several districts. Some areas may also receive thunderstorms and gusty winds. Therefore, residents should remain alert during periods of heavy rain and lightning.
The monsoon trough currently extends from Amritsar through parts of northern India and central India. It continues towards Digha and then extends southeastwards into the northeast Bay of Bengal. A strong low pressure area over northeast Madhya Pradesh and nearby regions is also influencing the weather.
Andhra Pradesh Telangana Weather Forecast for Three Days
In North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at some places on Thursday and Friday. However, Saturday may bring thunderstorms and stronger winds. Wind speeds could reach 40 to 50 kilometres per hour in some areas.
In South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places on Thursday. Meanwhile, thunderstorms and lightning are likely at some places on Friday and Saturday. Gusty winds may reach 40 to 50 kilometres per hour during these weather events.
Rayalaseema may also receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers at one or two places during the next three days. Gusty winds could reach speeds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour in some locations. Therefore, residents should take precautions during thunderstorms.
In Telangana, several districts may receive light to moderate rain on Thursday and Friday. Rain could occur at isolated places on Saturday as well. Some districts may also experience thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.
The winds in parts of Telangana could reach 30 to 40 kilometres per hour. As a result, residents should remain cautious near trees, electric poles and open areas during thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the weather system could produce changing conditions across both states. Local rainfall may vary significantly between districts. Therefore, residents should follow the latest alerts issued by the weather department.
The forecast offers some relief to people awaiting rainfall. However, sudden thunderstorms and strong winds may affect travel and outdoor activities. Authorities and residents should remain prepared, particularly in areas that receive intense rainfall.
