VK Singh Reacts to Viral Ladakh Gen Z Checkpost Video

Hyderabad, August 20: Former Army Chief General VK Singh reacted to a viral video showing a tourist arguing with security personnel at a Ladakh checkpost.

The tourist reportedly questioned officials after vehicles remained stopped for several hours at the Minamarg checkpost.

In the video, she refers to herself as part of Gen Z while expressing anger over the restrictions.

VK Singh Defends Soldiers Amid Viral Video Row

VK Singh said the armed forces protect the country and urged people to understand the facts before criticising soldiers.

He said allegations against security personnel should not be made without evidence.

Meanwhile, officials said vehicle restrictions are common in Ladakh due to weather, road and security conditions.

The tourist alleged that the road was blocked for a VIP convoy. However, officials have not provided a detailed response to the allegation.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also reacted to the video.

Abdullah sarcastically compared the Gen Z reference with the practice of invoking influential family names to pressure authorities.

He suggested that saying “we are Gen Z” had become a new form of such pressure.
