Another Set Back To Sisodia In The Delhi Liquor Scam: Custody Extended For Five More Days

Delhi/Hyderabad: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has faced a backlash in the Delhi Excise Policy case which has created a sensation across the country.

A Delhi Special Court today refused to grant him bail in the CBI case. Special Judge MK Nagpal extended Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody till April 5. CBI has been rejecting Sisodia’s bail plea. It is said that if he is granted bail, there is a possibility of destroying the evidence, and in this case, he has changed his phone frequently, which is not innocent. In the last hearing, the CBI requested the court that they have 60 days to file the charge sheet and not to grant bail till then.

The Special Judge said that the CBI has informed the court of the written details opposing the regular bail application of the accused, a copy of which will be given to the lawyer of the accused and a copy of the case diary and witness details will also be made available. (Maxim News)
