- Fresh Bay of Bengal weather system to bring rainfall and cold winds
- IMD says temperatures may dip as low pressure forms by November 22
A fresh weather change is expected as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana prepare for rains from November 22 to 24. Meteorologists said a new system will form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal this week. They noted that a low pressure area will develop on November 22. It is likely to move in a west northwest direction and then intensify into a depression by November 24. The system may strengthen further during the next forty eight hours as it heads towards the southwest Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, Telangana is seeing a different pattern before the rains. Lower level winds are now blowing from the east and northeast. Because of this, the state will face dry weather for the next three days. However, minimum temperatures may fall. Officials said some districts can see a dip of two to three degrees Celsius below normal over the next two days.
The India Meteorological Department also shared a warning for cold winds. It said northern and western districts of Telangana may face cold winds at isolated spots on Thursday. This alert comes as the weather pattern keeps shifting with the movement of the Bay system.
Therefore, both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are preparing for a mix of dry weather, falling temperatures and later rainfall. The developing system over the Bay of Bengal will play a key role in the region’s weather during the coming days. Officials expect the low pressure to strengthen steadily as it moves towards the southwest Bay of Bengal. They will continue to monitor the system and issue updates as needed.
