AP Govt Ready To Distribute Covid Vaccine On Priority Basis: AP CM Jagan
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Andhra Pradesh government was ready to provide the covid vaccine to the people. Officials, including the CM, took part in a video conference with state chief ministers organized by Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday and discussed on whom should vaccine be prepared first. The Chief Minister discussed the priorities, policies to be followed at the field level and procedures to be followed in the context of the distribution of vaccine.
Later, CM Jagan conducted a review with the authorities and directed them to focus on the methods to be followed in the distribution of the vaccine. CM Jagan directed the officers to focus on other issues and plans to be implemented for storing the vaccine at a specific temperature and shifting the vaccine to remote areas at the same temperature. The CM also directed that a review meeting be arranged on vaccine-related issues.
Meanwhile, coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh have seen a drastic fall on Monday. According to a bulletin released, as many as 47,130 samples were tested in the last 24 hours where another 545 positive cases were reported taking the total number of coronavirus cases across the state to 8,62,758 and ten people have been died in the past 24 hours, which brings the total death toll to 6948. The health department asserts that as many as 1,390 people had recovered in the past 24 hours, which brings the number of recovered from the coronavirus to 8,42,416. Another 13,394 are being treated at the hospital.
