It has accused the Centre of including its party MP Yousuf Pathan in the delegation without informing it. It has also said that its party MP Yousuf Pathan is withdrawing from the group.

Meanwhile, it is known that the Modi government has included Yousuf Pathan in the recently announced ‘Operation Sindoor Outreach‘ delegation. This newly formed group of MPs from various parties at the Centre has decided to visit 30 countries and make India’s voice heard. However, the Trinamool Congress has alleged that the name of Baharampur MP Yousuf Pathan was included without consulting their party.

“How can the central government decide on the Trinamool representative? They have to hold talks with the opposition to decide which representative a party should send. How can the BJP decide which representative Trinamool should send,” said TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee.

Trinamool Congress sources also said that Pathan or any other TMC MP is not part of the multi-party delegations visiting various countries to campaign against cross-border terrorism in Pakistan.

“We believe that the nation is greater than all. We have said that the central government will have our support in whatever action is necessary to protect our great nation. Our armed forces have made our country proud. We are forever indebted to them. However, foreign policy is entirely within the purview of the central government. Therefore, let the central government alone decide our foreign policy. Let it take full responsibility for it,” TMC sources said. (Maxim News)
