Vijayawada, Sept. 23: The Andhra Pradesh government will distribute house site pattas to 24,042 poor families in Vijayawada on September 30.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath, popularly known as Chinni, announced the plan on Wednesday.
The pattas will be distributed under the state government’s Pedalaku Pattabhishekam programme in an event led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Vijayawada Poor Families to Receive House Site Pattas
Chinni said 24,042 poor beneficiaries have been identified for the first phase.
He said the government aims to help eligible poor families secure ownership of house sites.
He added that some beneficiaries are still being identified and will receive pattas in a second phase.
Chinni said land worth around Rs 1 lakh crore would be distributed through the programme. This valuation was part of his statement about the identified properties. (andhrajyothy.com)
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan thanked Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for supporting the initiative.
NTR District Collector Lakshmi Shah said officials were verifying beneficiaries before issuing the pattas.
She said the government had taken the matter to the Cabinet for approval before proceeding with the distribution.
The announcement follows the government’s recent Pedalaku Pattabhishekam programme in Visakhapatnam, where 28,445 families received house ownership title deeds covering 399 acres.
