Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Yogi’s Comment On Gyanvapi Row

Delhi/Hyderabad, July 31 (Maxim News)  Reacting on the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath commented on the Gyanvapi row amidst the legal dispute between Hindus and Muslims.  He stated that the government is working to resolve the issue.  

Yogi Adityanath asserted that inside the Gyanvapi, there are dates and statues belonging to Hindus,  He claimed that a trishul (trident) and idols of Gods are inside the Gyanvapi premises that the walls of the complex are streaming and saying something.  He also said that Muslim society should come up with a proposal for a “solution” to their mistake. 

Yogi Adiyanath’s remark comes at a time when a hearing is underway at Allahabad High Court on a petition filed by the Muslim side challenging the lower court’s order for a survey inside the mosque by the Archaeological Survey of India.  The court is expected to deliver its judgment on the matter on August 3.  “If we call it a mosque, there will be a dispute, said the UP Chief Minister. 

Reacting to this, the AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressed displeasure with Yogi Adityanath’s remarks, stating that are unwelcome while the matter is already in Court.  He also added the issue of Gyanvapi is subjudice.  The country should be run as per the Constitution.  The situation remains tense as both sides hold firm on their respective positions. 

Owaisi said that the Yogi knows that the Muslim side has opposed the ASI survey in Allahabad High Court and the Judgment will be given in a few days, but still he gave such a controversial statement, which is judicial overreach (Maxim News)
