Asaduddin Owaisi To Stop BJP Rise: Plans To Contest Outside Old City

Hyderabad, July 10 (Maxim News): AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi hinted saying that its ally BRS headed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao stating it cannot be taken for granted and said that his party will contest in Assembly constituencies outside the Old City too after consulting all stakeholders as their main objective is to stop the BJP’s rise in Telangana.

Supporting his party’s strong opinion, Asaduddin Owaisi said that “We did not contest from Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Secunderabad Lok Sabha seats in 2019 elections, but the BJP still won.  All secular parties accusing AIMIM of helping the BJP win by cutting into their votes should realize that BJP will win if AIMIM does not contest, he said recently in a meeting at Adilabad. Adding that the AIMIM will not allow the BJP flag to fly in the New Secretariat.

It is the AIMIM that has been fighting the BJP to protect India, its Constitution, democracy, and Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb.  As long as AIMIM is strong, there would be no lynchings in Telangana.  We will consult the people, our party leaders, and other stakeholders before taking a final call on the number of Assembly seats we would be contesting in the Telangana Assembly elections.

In a rare criticism of poll partner BRS, the Hyderabad MP said, “AIMIM played a crucial role in defeating BJP in the 2014 and 2018 Assembly elections.  But if municipal wards represented by AIMIM in Adilabad and other places in the state are not developed, then sitting MLAs of other parties should start worrying.  Owaisi added that a large section of Muslims will not vote for a party without a positive signal from him.
