Medak/Hyderabad, July 3 (Maxim News): In a shocking act of violence, a 45-year-old auto driver was brutally hacked to death by unidentified assailants in Kamalapur village, located in Pedda Shankarampet mandal of Medak district, in the early hours of Thursday.
The victim, Thota Kamalakar, who had recently lost his wife, was reportedly attacked while he was asleep on the premises of his home. The murder came to light when his two children woke up to find their father lying in a pool of blood, prompting immediate alarm in the village.
Police Launch Investigation
Upon receiving information, Inspector Renuka and Sub-Inspector Praveen reached the scene and launched an investigation. A forensic team and dog squad were deployed to gather evidence and track down the perpetrators.
The body has been shifted to a government hospital for postmortem examination. Police have registered a case and are exploring all angles, including personal enmity or possible land disputes, as motives behind the brutal murder.
Community in Shock
The incident has sent shockwaves through the otherwise peaceful Kamalapur village. Locals expressed grief and concern over the safety of residents, especially given that Kamalakar was the sole breadwinner for his children after his wife’s recent death.
