Ayodhya/Hyderabad, Sept 2 (Maxim News) : The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appointed retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as its first Chief Executive Officer. The move marks a major step in strengthening the administrative system for the Ayodhya temple.
Mishra served the Indian Air Force for nearly 39 years. He brings extensive experience in administration, strategic planning and organisational management.
The trust expects his military background to support the temple’s growing operational needs. His responsibilities will include managing the daily administration of the temple complex. He will also oversee crowd management, security supervision and infrastructure expansion.
The temple receives a large number of devotees throughout the year. Therefore, efficient crowd control has become a key administrative priority. The new CEO will work on improving systems for managing the movement and facilities for devotees.
The trust also plans to expand infrastructure around the temple complex. Mishra will oversee these efforts and coordinate key administrative activities. In addition, he will monitor arrangements aimed at improving services for visiting devotees.
Ayodhya temple administration gets new leadership
The selection process reportedly involved scrutiny of 5,585 applications for the CEO position. The selection committee assessed candidates based on experience, discipline and administrative capability.
The trust selected Mishra after reviewing the applications and considering the demands of the post. His long service in the Air Force formed an important part of his professional background.
Moreover, the appointment comes as the trust seeks stronger administrative coordination. The temple’s expanding visitor numbers have increased the need for organised operations and infrastructure planning.
The trust also expects the CEO to help maintain facilities at high standards. This includes services for devotees, security arrangements and day to day management.
The appointment follows a controversy involving donations and offerings at the Ayodhya temple. The trust moved to appoint a new CEO after the dispute over alleged theft of donations and offerings.
