Balanagar Murder Case Solved, Accused Arrested In Gudenmet

Hyderabad, Nov. 4 (Maxim News) : The Balanagar Police have solved a murder case with the arrest of the accused, identified as 24-year-old Sidhapuram Ajay, a resident of Balanagar.

The arrest came after a rapid technical investigation supported by eyewitness statements. On November 3, 2025, around 4:30 PM, the Balanagar Police received information about a body lying beside the foot overbridge at Gudenmet X Road.

Responding immediately, a police team reached the spot and found an unidentified male with multiple stab wounds and blood loss.

Later, Mohammed Rasheed lodged a complaint identifying the deceased as his brother, Mohammed Gafoor, aged 39, a chef from Vattepally, Hyderabad.

The investigation revealed that on the day of the incident, the accused and the deceased were sitting on the footpath after consuming alcohol. An argument broke out when the deceased asked the accused to move.The verbal fight soon turned violent after the deceased allegedly kicked the accused.

In retaliation, Ajay punched Gafoor and, in a sudden act of aggression, took out a fruit-cutting knife and stabbed him several times in the chest, neck, and shoulder, leading to his death. The accused then fled the spot after discarding the knife in nearby bushes.

Police recovered a stainless-steel knife from the scene. Under the supervision of DCP Koti Reddy,,  ACP P. Naresh Reddy, Inspector T. Narsimha Raju, and SIP P. Saritha Reddy, the case was swiftly detected.

The officers and personnel involved, including PCs Ashok, Srisailam, Ifthekar, Eliyas, Madhusudhan, Zakeer, Srinivas, Naresh, and HGs Meraj and Rathnaiah, will be rewarded for their efforts.

The accused is in custody and will be produced before the court. The quick resolution of the case has been commended by Cyberabad police leaders for showcasing effective coordination and prompt investigation. (Maxim News)
