Police Arrested A Man In Ramachandrapuram Robbery Case

Hyderabad, Nov. 4 (Maxim News): Police apprehended Syed Abdullah, 31, of Shanthi Nagar, Sangareddy, in a robbery case under Ramachandrapuram Police Station limits, following a swift operation by RC Puram staff with CCS, Madhapur Zone support.

The case was registered after an engineering student reported that on 27.10.2025 evening she was robbed of her gold chain at Diamond Point, RC Puram, soon after seeing off her mother to Nellore. She suffered a neck injury and trauma during the incident.

Based on her complaint, a case was booked in Cr. No. 649/2025 under Section 309(4) BNS. Teams rushed to the spot, secured CCTV footage, and launched a targeted search on instructions from senior officers.

After diligent investigation and evidence review, the accused was traced and taken into custody by RC Puram crime staff along with CCS, Madhapur. Police recovered the stolen gold chain and the two-wheeler used in the offence.

According to investigators, the accused, who is into real estate, considered robberies “lucrative” and allegedly targeted the victim when she was returning alone.

Police said this opportunistic selection underscores the need for heightened vigilance, especially near bus stops and transit points. The swift detection stemmed from coordinated field work, technical analysis, and rapid team deployment.

Seized property includes one gold chain and the accused’s motorcycle. Officials stated that further legal proceedings are underway as part of the case file.

The arrest is expected to aid in deterrence and in mapping similar modus operandi in the zone. Follow-up checks are being conducted to rule out the accused’s role in other incidents.
