Balka Suman Arrest: Tension Prevails At Telangana Bhavan

Hyderabad, May 30: Tension gripped Telangana Bhavan on Friday after a large police contingent reached the BRS headquarters amid speculation over the possible arrest of BRS leader and former MP Balka Suman in connection with his recent controversial remarks.

The development comes days after police registered a case against Balka Suman over comments in which he allegedly called for militant style protests and made remarks about damaging public property. The statements triggered a political controversy and drew criticism from several quarters.

As news of the police presence spread, BRS activists gathered at Telangana Bhavan and raised slogans against the police.

Eyewitnesses said a heated argument broke out between police personnel and BRS workers when officers attempted to enter the party headquarters.

Several party activists shouted “Go Back Police” slogans and questioned the police action. The situation created a tense atmosphere around Telangana Bhavan for some time.

Sources said a non bailable case has been registered against Balka Suman at Nampally Police Station in connection with the controversial remarks.

Meanwhile, BRS leaders and legal representatives sought clarity on the police action and the legal procedures being followed in the case.

Case Registered Over Controversial Remarks

According to reports, the Abids ACP informed BRS lawyers that there was no requirement to issue notices under certain circumstances and that police were proceeding according to law.

The controversy began after Balka Suman allegedly made remarks referring to militant style agitations and actions against public infrastructure while addressing party workers.

The comments sparked strong reactions from political parties and social media users, many of whom criticised any call for damage to government property or disruption of public services.
