Bandi Sanjay Makes Sensational Comments On Kancha Gachibowli Land
Hyderabad, April 1 (Maxim News): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay made sensational comments on the Kancha Gachibowli land and said “those lands with forest characteristics cannot be cut down without approval of central government”.
He said that the 400 acres of land that the state government wanted to auction are within the forest area and that there are Supreme Court rulings that any land with forest characteristics cannot be cut down without the approval of the Central government.
He said that a case is pending in the High Court regarding the d400 acres of land in Kanchew Gachibowli and the High Court has ordered the state government to file a counter-affidavit by April 7 in the case filed by an NGO called Vata Foundation.
Bandi Sanjay criticised that the state government is committing contempt of court in the name of land leveling even after knowing this.
He accused it of destroying the environment by removing trees and picking plants. He said that it is wicked to want to sell those lands by deforestation and collect thousands of crores of rupees.
He was angry that the Congress government is acting wickedly beyond the previous BRS government. He questioned whether Revanth Reddy had forgotten that he had previously opposed the arbitrary sale of government lands that were not in the public interest.
He said that the sale of Kanche Gachibowli lands in the culmination of Congress opportunistic politics and demanded that the government’s decision on the sale of Gachibowli lands be immediately withdrawn. Otherwise, Bandi Sanjay said that the people themselves are ready to teach them a suitable lesson.
Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Telangana High Court on the Kanche Gachibowli lands. The court has accepted this PIL.
The hearing will be held on Wednesday. There is strong criticism that those 400 acres are HCU land and that there is no habitat for wild animals in the forest land. In this context, the Vata Foundation has filed a public interest litigation on the issue of 400 acres of disputed lands.
In the petition, it was requested that the Kanche Gachibowli lands be declared a national park. The vata Foundation lawyer requested that the petition be accepted urgently and a hearing be held. The court said that it will hear the petition on Wednesday. (Maxim News)
