Hyderabad, Oct. 30: Banjara Hills police have registered a case against a gym trainer for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl after promising to marry her. The complaint was filed by the girl’s mother, prompting action under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The accused has been identified as Mallela Ravi, who was reportedly working as a fitness trainer at a popular gym on Banjara Hills Road No. 12.
Banjara Hills Gym Trainer Faces POCSO Case
According to the complaint, the girl joined the gym in June 2025 while she was still a minor. The trainer allegedly developed a relationship with her, behaved inappropriately and sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions after promising to marry her.
The girl’s mother approached Madhuranagar police on Thursday and lodged a complaint detailing the alleged abuse.
Zero FIR Registered and Case Transferred
Madhuranagar police initially registered a Zero FIR under the relevant provisions of the POCSO Act. The case was subsequently transferred to Banjara Hills police station for further investigation.
Police are investigating the allegations and examining the circumstances surrounding the case.
