- Eatala Rajender questions Congress on BC reservations
- BCs attacking Congress for alleged injustice says MP
Hyderabad: BCs ready to fight Congress says Eatala Rajender as he sharply criticised the ruling party for its approach to backward classes. The Malkajgiri MP and BJP leader targeted the Congress government and said that its leaders were “playing dramas for votes.” He spoke to reporters in Hanamkonda and expressed strong anger over the issue of reservations.
Eatala Rajender demanded that Congress leaders apologise to the public for going back on BC reservations. He said, “the BCs are attacking the Congress government for doing injustice to them.” He argued that the government created confusion on sarpanch symbols in the panchayat elections. He added that winners may later be told that they had won from the Congress.
He warned that BCs are ready to oppose what he called the Congress party’s “fraud.” He questioned how the ruling government planned to give reservations without first determining the BC population. He asked whether the Congress had considered that “the BJP is in power at the Center…when they gave assurances.” His remarks added further heat to the ongoing political debate.
Eatala Rajender accused Congress leaders of land grabbing and drew parallels with alleged practices during the BRS rule in Hyderabad. He said there was “no limit to the Congress party’s land scams” and warned that they “will have to pay the price for this.” He pointed to examples from the Malkajgiri constituency and said many lands were being taken over.
He also commented on the expansion of the GHMC area. He said the expansion was done “for the sake of lands.” He added that “there is no poverty more than that,” reflecting his criticism of the government’s decisions on urban boundaries and land use. His comments marked another sharp attack on the ruling party as political tensions rise in Telangana.
