Hyderabad: The Haryana Rajya Sabha elections witnessed a tense and closely fought contest, with Sanjay Bhatia and Karamveer Singh Bodh emerging as winners. The Haryana Rajya Sabha elections drew attention due to allegations of cross voting and a tight race that continued until late Monday night.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed the media at midnight after the results. He congratulated the winning candidates. However, he said that Satish Nandal, backed by the BJP, lost to the Congress candidate by a narrow margin.
Saini alleged that five Congress MLAs cross voted during the elections. He also stated that four Congress MLAs declared their votes ineligible. These claims added to the controversy surrounding the Haryana Rajya Sabha elections.
Reactions from Congress and Political Leaders
Meanwhile, Congress leader B K Hari Prasad said that action would be taken against MLAs involved in cross voting. He indicated that the party would review the situation and respond accordingly.
Another Congress leader, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, alleged that the BJP tried hard to defeat his party’s candidate. However, he said that he had won the challenge despite the pressure.
Further, CM Saini accused the Congress party of taking its MLAs to Himachal Pradesh before the elections. He claimed that this showed a lack of trust within the party. He also expressed anger at the INLD for staying away from voting. He said the party acted as a B team of the Congress.
Therefore, the Haryana Rajya Sabha elections remained a high tension political event. The outcome reflected both competition and controversy, with cross voting claims continuing to dominate the discussion.
