Be Cautious on Social Media: CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, July 5 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has emphasized the importance of staying vigilant on social media platforms, especially when it comes to the safety of children and women. Speaking at a high-level conference held in Hyderabad on the Protection and Safety of Child Victims of Sexual Assault, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to victim support and justice.

Addressing the gathering, CM Revanth Reddy said, “Sexual violence against children is unacceptable, and we must collectively stand against it. Our government is taking strong steps through Bharosa Centres and other support systems to ensure that victims feel protected and empowered.”

He further warned that those involved in crimes against children will face severe legal consequences and urged citizens to be cautious with their activities and interactions on social media, which he said can sometimes become a dangerous space for exploitation.

The event saw the participation of Supreme Court Judge Justice Suryakant, High Court judges, Telangana DGP Jitender, and several top police officials, who discussed strategies to improve child protection mechanisms, strengthen law enforcement responses, and spread awareness about digital safety.

CM Revanth also noted the importance of community involvement and public awareness to prevent crimes against minors, stressing that education, legal reforms, and technology-enabled monitoring are key tools in this fight.
