Bhatti Accuses KCR Of Butchering Democracy By Wooing Voters With Money & Liquor

Hyderabad, Jan.24 (Maxim News): CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the municipal elections were not held between the Congress and the TRS party, but between the money and liquor of the ruling party and the democratic Congress.

Addressing the media at Khammam today, Vikramarka alleged that the ruling party had spent huge amount of money and distributed liquor to induce the voters and secure their votes. He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was conspiring to degrade the democratic values with his corrupt practices and illicit money. He also accused the Chief Minister with butchering the democracy by turning the elections as means of distribution of money and liquor.

The CLP leader said the democratic institutions were being destroyed in order to allow only the rich to take part in politics and prevent the poor from entering the politics. Seeing a big conspiracy of the ruling party, he urged the authorities concerned to take steps for protection of the democratic values by cracking whip on those who are butchering them. He also said the intellectuals and social activists should fight unitedly and create awareness among the common people.

The CLP leader said the Congress leaders and workers have not only faced the money and muscle power of the TRS leaders, but also worked hard for victory of the party. He told his party leaders and the workers that the Congress would form the next government in the State. (Maxim News)
