Hyderabad, August 10: Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said Telangana will introduce Bhudhar identification for lands, similar to Aadhaar for individuals.
Ponguleti made the statement during his visit to Elkathurthi in Hanumakonda district on Sunday. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also accompanied him.
The ministers participated in the distribution of double bedroom houses and various development programmes in the area.
Telangana To Survey Every Revenue Village
Ponguleti said the government would conduct a comprehensive land survey across Telangana. He said every inch of land in every revenue village would be surveyed.
The minister said the government would provide landowners with security and assurance through the survey process.
He said the Dharani system had been set aside and the government was taking steps to strengthen land records.
Ponguleti also criticised previous governments for creating new districts and mandals without establishing adequate offices and facilities.
He said the present government had sanctioned Rs 600 crore for developing the required revenue infrastructure.
The minister said 180 Tahsildar and RDO offices across Telangana were completed within a year on a priority basis.
He appealed to farmers to cooperate with the land survey. He said the government would work to provide secure land records without creating difficulties for farmers.
