Hyderabad, Sept. 14: BIOAGRI 2026 will push scientific use of biological inputs to reduce chemical fertiliser and pesticide use in Indian agriculture.
The 6th Annual BioAgri Industry Summit will take place on October 7 and 8 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
The BioAgri Input Producers Association, or BIPARTISAN, will host the summit. The association has called for a phased 25 percent reduction in chemical inputs through biological integration.
BIPARTISAN estimates that the move could potentially save the national exchequer around Rs 40,000 crore every year. The association also expects the approach to reduce import dependence and farm input costs.
According to BIPARTISAN, wider use of biological inputs could also improve soil health. It could further strengthen the competitiveness of Indian agricultural exports.
The summit will focus on the theme “Biological Intelligence & Smart Agriculture.” It will bring together stakeholders from across the agricultural and biological inputs sectors.
More than 250 delegates are expected to attend the two day event. The summit will also feature over 35 speakers and 50 exhibitors.
BIOAGRI 2026 Seeks National Biological Input Policy
BIPARTISAN will use BIOAGRI 2026 to highlight its call for a National Policy on Biological Input Integration. The association wants scientific integration of biological products with existing agricultural practices.
The proposal seeks a phased reduction in chemical fertiliser and pesticide use. BIPARTISAN links the proposed change to lower input costs, improved soil health and reduced import dependence.
The association also expects biological integration to support the long term competitiveness of Indian agriculture. It has placed the potential annual savings estimate at around Rs 40,000 crore.
Industry leaders, scientists, researchers and startups will participate in the summit. Policymakers and regulators will also join the discussions.
BIPARTISAN said the summit will create a platform for discussions on biological solutions and smart agriculture. The event will also provide space for exhibitors to present products and technologies.
BIOAGRI 2026 Brings Agriculture Stakeholders Together
BIPARTISAN office bearers announced the summit at a press conference held at a city hotel on Saturday.
Dr A. John Peter, BIPARTISAN President, addressed the media along with Secretary General Dr Venkatesh Devanur. Vice President Praharaju Laxminarayana and Joint Treasurer C.H.V. Srinivas also outlined the association’s priorities.
BIPARTISAN describes itself as the world’s oldest trade body dedicated to agricultural biologicals. Its focus remains on promoting biological inputs within the agriculture sector.
The association expects BIOAGRI 2026 to bring different parts of the agricultural ecosystem together. The participation of scientists, policymakers, regulators and industry representatives will support wider discussion.
The summit will therefore place biological integration at the centre of its agenda. BIPARTISAN will also seek attention for its proposed national policy framework.
The October event in Hyderabad is expected to provide a platform for further discussion on reducing chemical inputs. It will also highlight the potential role of biological solutions in building a more sustainable and competitive agricultural sector.
