Bird Flu: Alert Chicken Eaters In Telangana: Key Instructions From Officials

Hyderabad, Feb 12 (Maxim News): Bird Flu virus is causing a stir in neighboring states. Thousands of chickens are dying. Positive cases have been registered especially in East Godavari districts of AP. Due to this, the officials of the Animal Husbandry Department in Telangana have become alert. Steps have been taken to protect the chickens.

In the wake of the state government’s instructions, the owners of chicken farms in the district should take appropriate precautions. The owners of chicken farms have been advised to cooperate with the veterinary officials when they come for inspections and provide every information.

In addition, there is panic among people about eating chicken and eggs in the wake of the bird flu virus.  In this regard, the district collectors have been asked to raise awareness among the people about the spread of bird flu.

On the other hand, there are poultry industries in the suburbs of Hyderabad.  In this context, Rangareddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy advised the owners of chicken farms to take appropriate precautions.  If a large number of chickens die anywhere, they should be buried and sprinkled with bio-chemical powder. He said that preventive measures should be taken to prevent the remaining chickens and the nearby chicken farms from getting infected.

Officials say that there is no need to fear the bird flu virus.  There will be no health problems even if you eat chicken and eggs.  It is being clarified that this virus cannot survive in high temperatures.
