Hyderabad, Dec.11 (Maxim News): The BJP’s prospects in the State capital appeared to be heading for a major setback with senior party leaders, including its State president K Laxman and two-time MLA from Amberpet G Kishan Reddy losing to their TRS rivals.
Another senior BJP leader Chintala Ramachandra Reddy lost from Khairatabad while party MLC Ramchander Rao, also lost from the Malkajgiri Assembly seat. Former MLA from Uppal NVSS Prabhakar too could not manage a win, and ended up third in the race, behind Tulla Veerender Goud of TDP.
State BJP president and MLA from Musheerabad Dr Laxman suffered defeat from Musheerabad, as he ended at the third place in the race. The only saving grace for the party was Raja Singh, who looked poised to retain the Goshamahal Assembly seat for a second term after a tough fight with Prem Singh Rathore of the TRS, and Amar Singh from Karwan, who was leading ahead of AIMIM candidate Kauser Mohiuddin.
