Hyderabad, May 4: BJP set to form government in West Bengal as early trends show the party crossing the majority mark in the state assembly elections. The development signals a major political shift after 15 years of rule by Mamata Banerjee and her party Trinamool Congress.
According to available data, the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 199 seats. Meanwhile, the TMC is ahead in 88 seats. As a result, the BJP appears poised to form the next government in the state.
