According to Modi, the swearing in of a BJP leader as chief minister in West Bengal for the first time marked a proud moment for the party. He added that the enthusiasm seen after the Bengal victory was clearly visible at the BJP rally in Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the BJP’s performance in other states. He said the party secured a third consecutive victory in Assam and that the National Democratic Alliance retained power in Puducherry for a second term.

During his speech, Modi launched sharp criticism against the Congress party. He alleged that corruption increased wherever Congress remained in power.

He also claimed that the people of West Bengal had rejected both the Trinamool Congress and Left parties. Modi further alleged that voters in Bengal stood against what he described as Mamata Banerjee’s authoritarian style of governance.
