The threatening messages, reportedly sent to the offices of IndiGo and Air India, claimed that airports across the country would be “blown into pieces,” triggering a massive security response.

According to initial reports, the emails were received by key airports in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, and Thiruvananthapuram, forcing authorities to raise the alert level nationwide.

In Hyderabad, security has been intensified to the highest category. Police and CISF personnel have been deployed in large numbers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), with strict screening of passengers, vehicles, and baggage. Special bomb disposal squads and sniffer dog units have been positioned at all major entry and exit points.

The heightened alert has also been extended to bus stations, shopping malls, temples, and other high-footfall areas across the city.

Senior officials from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and local police are coordinating efforts to trace the origin of the threatening emails and determine whether they are connected to the recent Delhi blast.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm but vigilant. So far, no suspicious object has been found at any of the airports mentioned in the threat. (Maxim News)
