Uttam Kumar Reddy described the Lok Sabha elections as “historic and unprecedented,” suggesting that these elections would be remembered as a significant battle for democracy in India. He accused the BJP Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of crossing all boundaries by spreading hatred among the populace to avoid a humiliating electoral defeat. He claimed that Modi resorted to targeting India’s largest minority group by misinterpreting the Congress manifesto and that he distorted facts to sway public opinion and win votes.
He said that BJP leaders were in shock after realizing they had lost ground in the first phase of polling. He asserted that the Congress party and its allies are on course for a historic victory in the Lok Sabha elections and that this momentum is now irreversible.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also criticized the BRS party for spreading false information to mislead voters ahead of the elections. He claimed that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and other BRS leaders lack the moral authority to discuss irrigation or agriculture, alleging that they have mismanaged both sectors over the past ten years. He accused the previous BRS government of operating with a single focus on corruption, reaping personal benefits under the guise of welfare programs.
He further asserted that after losing the Assembly elections, BRS leaders are frustrated and are now criticising the Congress-led government to deflect from their failings.

Uttam Kumar Reddy highlighted the achievements of the Congress Government in Telangana, stating that within the first 100 days, they had implemented five out of six key promises. “We’ve improved the state’s finances and allocated funds judiciously for various schemes. In just 90 days, we’ve filled over 30,000 vacancies and aim to fill one lakh vacancies within a year. Every promise made during the Assembly elections will be fulfilled without delay or excuses,” he remarked.
Similarly, Uttam Kumar Reddy reiterated that the promises made in Rahul Gandhi’s national manifesto, “Congress Nyay Patra,” released on April 6 in Tukkuguda, will be kept without fail. He noted that if the Congress party comes to power, the new government will create crores of jobs and fill 30 lakh vacancies across various Central Government departments. This could directly benefit Telangana, with at least one lakh youths from the state expected to secure Central Government jobs.

Uttam Kumar Reddy Reddy emphasized that all sections of society, particularly youth, women, farmers, and workers, would be prioritized to ensure justice. He said a Congress-led government with Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister would undertake a nationwide socio-economic and caste census. This administration would also amend the Constitution to lift the 50% cap on reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) and introduce a 10% quota for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in employment and educational institutions, applicable across all social strata.
He said that lakhs of farmers in Telangana would benefit from the legal guarantees for Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for their crops if the Congress Government comes to power at the Centre. (Maxim News)
