Budget Session Only For 7 Days: Akbaruddin Expressed Unhappiness

Hyderabad, Feb 12 (Maxim News): AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi expressed his unhappiness that the Assembly budget session was held for just 7 days.

He said that it would have been better if the session would have held for at least 20 days. Had that been done, there would have been a chance to have a short-term discussion on at least 25 issues. Akbaruddin said that Assembly sessions were shortened last year due to covid and this time too it is not appropriate to hold them on short days.

He reminded that while the Assembly Sessions were held for 126 days between 2014-18, the Assembly has been in session for only 67 days since 2018. He said that for democracy to be active, an Assembly session should be held. (Maxim News)
