Minister Seethakka made a key announcement on this. On the occasion of the launch of the free bus driving training program for women in Telangana, she felicitated Sarita, who was appointed as the first woman bus driver in Telangana. She said that this will help women become financially independent and live with self-respect. The minister said that this program has been designed taking the role of woman driver Sarita Nayak as an example.

Saritha, a resident of Sityathanda, Narayanapuram Mandal, Sansthan narayanapuram, Yadadri bhuvanagiri District, created history by becoming the first woman driver in Telangana RTC. Due to her family’s financial situation, she dropped out of school at a young age. Since then, she learned to drive an auto and supported her family. After that, she obtained a heavy vehicle driving license. Later, she worked as a bus driver in Delhi transport Corporation (DTC) for about 10 years.
However, as her parents were old, she returned to Telangana to take care of them. In this process, she met ministers and requested for a driver job in Telangana. To this, the state government responded positively and provided her with an opportunity as a bus driver in RTC. (Maxim News)
