Cash seized at Flying Squad check posts is being investigated and released from time to time: Madhusudan

*Hyderabad, October 26:* District Grievance Committee Chairman, Hyderabad District Additional Collector Madhusudan said that 110 cases worth Rs.12,30,32,444 worth Rs.12,30,32,444 were received by the flying squad at check posts in Hyderabad district in the wake of assembly elections. In his chamber, the committee members held a meeting with the Hyderabad District Treasury Officer, Deputy Director Vasundhara, Sanitation Joint Commissioner Sandhya, and Member Secretary Sarath Chandra.

On this occasion, Madhusudan, Chairman of the District Grievance Committee, said that after the Panchnama investigation of the money brought before the committee, cash, gold, silver, and other money related to 110 cases worth Rs. 12.30 crores have been brought before the committee. He said that in the context of the Police Panchnama report it is not related to the candidate or the election, Rs 3.40 crore cash and gold related to 78 cases of cash, gold, silver, and other items have been released to the concerned persons. Similarly, Additional Collector Madhusudhan stated that 8 cases of cash worth Rs.8,38,91,010 have been recommended to IT, while 17 cases are still pending and five more cases were unable to attend and a total of 66,83,139 worth of cash, silver, and gold has not been resolved.

He said that cash and other items seized by the flying squad, seized at the check post are being released without delay as per the election rules so as not to cause any inconvenience to the public. Additional Collector Madhusudan asked people to carry the relevant receipt and related documents in case of taking money gold or silver for their needs.
