CDA Chennai organising SPARSH Outreach Program at Ongole

Secunderabad, 21 Jul 2023: The government of India is organising a special campaign from 03-07-2023 to 22-07-2023 for the identification of System for Pension Administration (RAKSHA) [SPARSH] Pensioners & Grievance Redressal from the tri-services (Army, Navy & Air Force) in 23 districts across India.

As part of the same, a two-day mass SPARSH outreach program is being organised on 21 and 22 July 2023 for the Defence Pensioners at Dr Ambedkar Bhavan, Ongole (AP) by the Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA) Chennai, in association with the Department of Sainik Welfare, AP and Headquarters Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA). Shri A.S. Dinesh Kumar, IAS, District Collector, Prakasam district, Shri T. Jayaseelan, IDAS Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA), Chennai and Brigadier V. Venkata Reddy, VSM, Director, Rajya Sainik Board, AP presided over the event on day one.

The District Collector, Prakasam has emphasized that pension is the right of the veterans who have toiled very hard for the nation and that it is the duty of the government to ensure “Right Pension at the Right time”.

The CDA, Chennai stressed the importance of coordinating the support schemes extended by the Central and State governments to the veterans. He also highlighted that the March of Technology enables “One stop – One solution” for all pension-related grievances through the SPARSH portal.

The Director, Rajya Sainik Board, AP explained the difficulties faced by the service pensioners & family pensioners and stressed that every effort must be made to redress them. He highlighted the efforts being made to resolve the pension grievances through the SPARSH portal.

Around 300 pensioners from the Prakasam district attended the outreach program. Stalls were installed for Life Certificate Identification, SPARSH information, Grievances Redressal, Banking facilities, etc.

In continuation of the program, the Identification of SPARSH pensioners and Grievance Redressal will also be done on 22-07-2023 at the same venue. Defence Pensioners are advised to utilise this opportunity for the redressal of their grievances related to SPARSH.
