Central Directives To States: Give Update Every Two Hours
Delhi/Hyderabad: The Central government has issued key orders as protests continue across the country against the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case. As doctors are conducting large-scale agitations in all states, the Union Home Ministry on Sunday ordered the state governments to submit a report every two hours on the law and order situation.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the top police officers of all the states of the country to send reports to the Center through mail, faxes, or WhatsApp every two hours. Based on them, the situation will be assessed and appropriate action will be taken.
The Central Home Department said that the court has handed over the case to the CBI due to the allegations of lack of proper information and support from the concerned authorities and the police helping the accused regarding the Kolkata doctor rape and murder incident.

The National Medical Commission has released guidelines for all medical colleges in the country after the Kolkata doctor rape and murder incident. At the national level, it has been suggested to create a suitable policy for the security of doctors, medical students, college, and hospital surroundings. These protective measures should be maintained in all public places including OPD, wards, casualty, hostels, and residential areas. (Maxim News)
