Centre Is Not Giving Funds For Water: Dayakar
Hyderabad, Nov.4 (Maxim News): Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today criticised the Centre for not giving funds for drinking waters to Telangana.
Our states is ahead in giving potable drinking water to people compared to other states.
The minister accused the centre of ignoring Niti Ayog committee recommendations of giving Rs 24000 cr Telangana. The centre is partisan as it offers funds for Gujrat and Uttar Pradesh for drinking water scheme and denying us, he charged. Telangana has spent Rs 33000 cr which may go to Rs 38000 cr to complete mission bhagiratha works.
The government saves Rs 8000 cr in the scheme as administrative sanctions made for are 46000 cr he said. The state government has offered water 23267 villages deprived of the facility. By month end another 188 villages will get waters he added. (Maxim News)
