No Loss Should Be There To Sugar Cane Farmers: FM Harish Rao

Hyderabad, Nov.4 (Maxim News): Finance Minister T Harish Rao today said that the officials take steps to protect interests of sugar cane farmers avoiding loss.

He asked the officials to issue notices as per revenue recovery act to Trident company for failing to clear dues of Rs 12.70 cr and make alternative arrangements to crush sugar cane product.

At Sanga Reddy collector office he held a meeting with delegates of Trident, Ganapati and Magi sugar and other companies and farmers on crushing the cane stocks. This time we expect to get about huge sugar cane crop in 3 lakhs of acres, the minister said.

The officials should make alternative arrangements for sugar cane stocks crushing and help the farmers get benefits.

He expressed displeasure that Trident management is failing to clear Rs 12.70 cr arrears to 1400 farmers for several months. As an alternative Ganapati and Magi sugar companies will tie up to crush sugar cane crops, he said. He assured that Zahirabad farmers will not get losses on sugar cane crops. (Maxim News)
