Chandi Masood | Hyderabad, June 15 (Maxim News): Golconda Police have solved the sensational Chandi Masood murder case and arrested four persons accused of brutally killing a young man following a family dispute over a love marriage. The accused have been produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
The case was registered as Crime No. 229/2026 at Golconda Police Station under Sections 103(1), 329(4), 118(1) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 25(1A) of the Arms Act, 1959.
The arrested accused were identified as Shaik Zahed alias Sohail (A1), Zeeshan Nawab alias Jaber (A2), Amer Nawab alias Laddu (A3), and Nafeez Sulthana (A4).
According to police, the case was registered on the complaint of Shaik Mahboob, father of the deceased Masood Chandi. He alleged that the accused forcibly entered their residence and attacked his son with deadly weapons.
Investigators found that Masood Chandi had entered into a love marriage in January 2025. The marriage reportedly faced strong opposition from A1, who is the brother of the deceased’s wife. Police said the marriage and subsequent family disputes led to deep-rooted hostility between the families.
Chandi Masood Case Solved After Swift Police Investigation
During the investigation, police found that the accused allegedly planned and executed the attack out of personal vengeance. Acting with a common intention, the four accused entered the victim’s house armed with an iron rod, knife and wooden sticks.
The attackers allegedly assaulted Masood Chandi repeatedly, causing fatal injuries. Family members who tried to intervene were also attacked and suffered injuries during the incident.
The murder created panic in the Golconda area and drew widespread attention. Following the incident, police launched a special operation to identify and apprehend the suspects.
Acting on credible information, a special team led by the Detective Inspector of Golconda Police Station, under the supervision of ACP Tolichowki Division Syed Fiaz, traced and arrested all four accused on June 13, 2026.
During the investigation, police recovered the weapons allegedly used in the crime, including an iron rod and a knife. The seized material forms a key part of the evidence collected in the case.
Police officials said the successful detection of the Chandi Masood case reflects the department’s commitment to ensuring justice in serious criminal offences. Investigators gathered crucial evidence linking the accused to the murder and reconstructed the sequence of events that led to the fatal attack.
The accused have been remanded to judicial custody. Further investigation is continuing. (Maxim News)
