Chicken Prices Surge In The Telugu States

Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): Chicken prices have gone up in Telugu States.  Within a week, the price of a kilo of chicken has increased by Rs. 100.

 Until last week, the prices from Rs. 200 to Rs. 240 per kg of chicken have suddenly reached Rs. 300.  In Hyderabad, the price of a kilo of chicken is over Rs. 300.  In Vijayawada, it is upto Rs. 310.  The price of live chicken is Rs. 220 to Rs. 250.  Natu chicken is being sold for up to Rs. 500 per kg.  customers who went to the shops to buy chicken are shocked.

Meanwhile, the trades say that chicken products have been reduced to a large extent due to the scorching sun.  This is why it is said that the prices of chicken have increased in this range.  Given

the summer season, it is said that the situation will remain the same for another two months. (Maxim News)
