Sind, Pakistan/Internet/Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): Harassment and attacks on minorities have become common in Pakistan. Especially Hindu youth are being kidnapped and forcibly converted. Recently, one such incident took place in Pakistan. Hindu sisters aged 13 and 14 were kidnapped and forcibly converted. Later, they were also married. This incident took place on the 9th of this month in the Tando Allahyar district of Sindh, Pakistan. This area is predominantly Hindu.
Two Hindu girls, aged 13 and 14, from Katchi Kolhi, were kidnapped by two men, Amjad Solangi and Mansoor Solangi. They were forcibly converted to Islam. They were later married. The victim’s family approached the local district court over the incident. Both the victim girls appeared in court. The girls told the court that they were kidnapped, converted and forcibly married. The girls pleaded with the court to send them home with their parents.
However, the court did not show mercy. The court refused to send the girls to their parents’ house. The court ordered that the girls be shifted to a safe place only. No matter how much the girls pleaded with the judge and shed tears, there was no proper response. This incident shows how the Pakistani Muslim people and system behave towards the Hindus there. The US-based Sindhi rights organization has expressed its concern over the attacks on Hindus in Pakistan.
The organization said that six minor girls have been kidnapped and converted in Sindh district in the past ten days. It said such incidents have become common in Pakistan. (Maxim News)
