The administration is making arrangements for a crucial meeting between Telangana and AP Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu.  Revanth Reddy responded positively to the letter written by Chandrababu Naidu asking for a meeting to resolve the division issues. The Telangana government is preparing the agenda to be discussed in the meeting.  It is reported that the CM has ordered the authorities to make arrangements for the meeting to be held on July 6.  Revanthy Reddy will discuss this matter with fellow ministers and senior officials.

There was no consensus between the two states on the properties of 23 corporations including RTC, State Finance Corporation, and others in the Ninth Schedule of the Redistribution Act. There are also differences of opinion on the properties and services of 30 institutions in the Tenth Schedule like Telugu Academy, Ambedkar, and Telugu University.  There are also disputes over dues of Raj Bhavan, High Court, Lokayukta, Labor Welfare Fund, Commercial Taxes, and Power Corporation.  Although the Union Home Ministry held several meetings with the officials of the two states, the problems were not resolved.  With AP CM Chandrababu’s initiative that important issues need to be resolved through face-to-face discussions, both states are hoping that the division issues that have been pending between the two states for years will come to an end.

On the other hand, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has written a letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.  In the letter, it is mentioned that a special initiative should be taken on the amalgamation of Bhadrachalam Gram panchayats of Khammam District, which has been a topic of discussion among the residents of this region, since the formation of Telangana. Etapaka, Gundala, Purushottamapatnam, Kannaigudem, and Picukulapadu village panchayats which were merged in AP were asked to be merged back into Bhadrachalam.  (Maxim News)
