A case of selling children has come to light in Hyderabad, drawing serious attention from law enforcement agencies. Even before the sensational case of the Srishti Test Tube Baby Center in the Telugu States fades from public memory, another gang selling children has been exposed. The Cyberabad Special Operations Team police arrested 12 members of the gang for their role in bringing babies from different parts of the country and selling them to childless couples.

According to the details provided, the arrests took place on Wednesday, December 24. Cyberabad SOT police acted on specific information and detained 12 members involved in selling children in Hyderabad city. Police confirmed that all the accused were working as agents for various hospitals in the city. They allegedly used their positions to sell babies through an organised network. Therefore, the case raised serious concerns about misuse of trust within the healthcare system.

During the investigation, police found that 15 babies had already been sold by the gang. Meanwhile, officers rescued two children from the custody of the accused. Police stated that each baby was being sold for Rs. 15 lakhs, based on the initial investigation. This revelation highlighted the scale of the operation and the financial motive behind the illegal activity. Later, police shifted the rescued children to a rescue home for care and protection.

Investigators also found that children were being kidnapped from several areas. These areas included Miyapur, Kukatpally, Alwin Colony, BHEL, and Jagadgirigutta. The police confirmed that eight women and three men were arrested as part of the gang. The arrests reflected the wide reach of the network operating within and around Hyderabad. Meanwhile, officers continued questioning the accused to understand how the children were sourced and sold.

Police registered a case and launched further investigation into the selling children network. Authorities are now focusing on identifying additional links and tracing how babies were moved across locations. The case once again brought focus on child trafficking concerns in urban areas. Police stated that further action would follow as the investigation progresses and more details emerge from the ongoing probe.
