According to initial reports, the victims, Khusro and Azeemuddin, residents of Bahadurpura, were carrying a large amount of cash at the time. Meanwhile, four unidentified persons arrived on motorcycles and targeted them. The attackers threw chilli powder into their eyes, which left them unable to react.
Soon after, the miscreants took advantage of the situation. They snatched the cash bag and fled the scene with Rs 1 crore. The swift attack and escape have made the case more complex for investigators.
However, police responded quickly after the incident came to light. They formed four special teams to trace the accused and recover the stolen amount. Officials are now examining possible leads and gathering evidence from the area.
