CID Serves Notice To Nara Lokesh In The Inner Ring Road Case

Amaravati: CID officials served notice to TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh in the Inner Ring Road Case. A notice was issued under 41A to attend the hearing at the CID Office on October 4 at 10 a.m. Lokesh is currently in Guntur MP Galla Jayadev‘s office at Ashoka Road, Delhi. The CID officials then went to the MPs office in Delhi and served notice to Lokesh.

The CID recently included Lokesh’s name as A14 in the case registered last year on the Amaravati Inner Ring Road alignment issue. Against this backdrop, the High Court heard the anticipatory bail petition filed by Lokesh in the High Court on Friday. The AG argued on behalf of the state government.

In this case, the AG told the court that notices will be issued to Lokesh under CrPC 41A and the relevant provisions will be followed. The judge said that since there is no mention of arrest under CrPC 41A notices, the trial is being closed on anticipatory bail. CID officials have issued a notice under 41A to Lokesh.
