New Delhi / Hyderabad, August 24: The Cockroach Janta Party has announced a CJP youth protest march in New Delhi on September 5 over the Government’s alleged failure to honour commitments made to young protesters.
The party said its National Working Committee took the decision after reviewing the Centre and BJP led state governments’ compliance with assurances made on July 25, 2026.
According to the statement, the proposed march will begin at India Gate and proceed towards the Delhi Police Headquarters. Families of deceased NEET victims and people who allege police brutality will lead the march.
Students and young people from different parts of the country are also expected to join the CJP youth protest, the party said.
The party claimed that young protesters withdrew their nationwide movement after receiving assurances from the Government on July 25. It now alleges that the Government has delayed action on those commitments.
The CJP said its National Working Committee expressed concern over the Government’s response. The party also questioned whether the Centre intends to fulfil the assurances given to protesters.
CJP Youth Protest March To Seek Action On Pending Commitments
The statement referred to proceedings before the Supreme Court concerning FIRs registered across the country. It claimed that the court sought details of the FIRs on August 18.
The party alleged that the Government did not provide a clear commitment on submitting the requested information. It also said a written assurance expected from the Government remains pending.
The CJP described the situation as a breach of trust between the Government and young protesters. It said the July 25 commitments had led protesters to withdraw their nationwide agitation.
The party said it has now decided to return to the streets through a peaceful programme. It appealed to students, youth organisations and student groups to gather at India Gate on September 5.
According to the statement, families who lost their children will walk at the front of the procession. People who allege police brutality will also participate.
The party said the march will remain peaceful. It called on the Government to honour its earlier commitments in both letter and spirit.
The CJP further said the proposed demonstration reflects concerns among young people over pending issues linked to the earlier protests.
However, the allegations made by the party represent its stated position. The statement does not include a response from the Union Government to the latest announcement.
The CJP has urged participants to maintain peace during the march. It has also asked young Indians and student organisations to join the September 5 programme.
The announcement sets the stage for renewed youth mobilisation in the national capital. Further developments will depend on the Government’s response and the arrangements made by authorities for the proposed march.
