The school staff informed his relatives about the injury on Wednesday.  They reached the hostel to take Praveen to the hospital for treatment. When they approached the principal, they were advised to find Praveen in the dormitory, where he was reportedly resting.  But Praveen’s relatives found him hanging from the ceiling fan in the dormitory.  He was immediately rushed to the Wanaparthy Area Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

The police have registered a case and started investigating.  Praveen was reportedly involved in a scuffle with another student during the physical education period, resulting in severe injuries. The school’s failure to admit Praveen to the hospital despite his injuries has raised suspicions.

This incident adds to the growing number of student suicides in the state, highlighting a disturbing trend.  Education department officials are also investigating the circumstances surrounding Praveen’s death.  (Maxim News)
