CM KCR Condoles Death of Sunderlal Bahuguna
Hyderabad, May 21 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today mourned the death of well-known environmentalist and founder of famous Chipko Andolan (People’s movement aimed at protecting the trees and forests) Sunderlal Bahuguna.
In an official release, the CM’s said the death of Sunderlal Bahuguna, who sacrificed his entire life to lead a movement for five decades against cutting of the trees, in the protection of the forests and birds which are becoming extinct, is a deep void in environment and biodiversity sectors in the country.
The CM has conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family. (Maxim News)
