CM KCR writes to PM Modi over paddy procurement
Hyderabad, March 24: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to direct the Union Ministry of Food and Public Distribution to procure the entire paddy from Telangana. According to the reports, he further requested PM Modi to organize a meeting of all state Chief Ministers with agricultural experts to discuss on how to formulate a suitable national procurement policy.
He mentioned that the Centre should purchase the entire quantity of paddy as per the MoU with the state. He added that the ministry of food is declining to procure the entire paddy from Telangana for the last two years.
